I am very eager to explore Vienna and document my findings in order to exercise creative energy and nurture my non-existent (except in my own head) writing process. By engaging critically (and socially!) with my surroundings, I hope to share my own perspective on life and living in Vienna.; I hope that my observations, recommendations, recipes, and everything-in-between will become a source of inspiration and friendship for like-minded visitors and residents who find themselves afloat in Austria’s capital city.
Born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts, I found my way to a small town in Carinthia, Austria in 2008. In late 2012 I made the decision to leave a PhD program in the field of German Studies in the United States in order to experience for myself the Vienna heralded in the hearts and pages of some of my favorite authors.
I am very excited to begin a Masters program in International Studies in Vienna starting in October 2013.
